Nope! Wings need offense and although the D has been bad, we have the pieces in place to improve in the next year or two. Ristolainen is a turnover machine anyways. I’d prefer a future d core comprising of
Krug Hronek
Cholowski. Seider
DK. Kaski/Lindstrom
McIssac

AA always gets off to a slow start. Yzerman is smart and he doesn't overreact If so the earliest I see AA getting moved is the TDL if he gets traded at all. I think if he has more than 20 goals or over 40 points by the TDL Yzerman doesn't trade him. I am not a Risto fan he is kind of like Paul Coffey who put up big offensive number but he wasn't very strong defensively.

I also wanted to thank you now that you've posted this trade proposals for AA are going to be out of control. It will start with Buffalo then Edmonton and the it won't take long for Montreal and NYR to join in.

Ristolainen
-RH defenseman- a position of value & demand
-playing well, & over 26min a night vs tough competition
-under contract for 2 more years after this

Athanasiou
-having a really rough start
-playing wing- a position we don’t really “need”
-pending UFA

Before this season started maybe
But i really don’t think it’s even close now

Risto is having a "good" season (by his standards only, not everyone else's):

He's averaging 24:27 a night (not 26)
He's at 44.3% Corsi, with a -5.7 relative Corsi, meaning the team is much better when he's on the bench (BTW: Mike Green is a 51.1% Corsi, with a 3.1 relative Corsi, but if you want someone closer in age and O/D zone split, Hronek is a 52.9% Corsi, with a 5.6% relative Corsi)
Has seen his ice time trend down (and will probably continue as the team is much better when he's on the bench)
All the teams needing d-help didn't want him
He'd be the 3rd best RHD on the Detroit team (Hronek and Green in front of him)

AA isn't a pending UFA? He still has like 2 years of RFA control left. And he'll be signed long term before then anyways.

My fault on the UFA/RFA mistake
However, the rest still applies

Done. (From BUF) AA would tear it up with Reinhart and Eichel
