That's a fair return for Martinez without retained salary. If you want the Kings to retain 50%, TB will have to do a little better on the prospect front or add another 2nd round pick.

They probably would have before the no trade and season begun. Gourde has regressed and TB may hvae to try waivers to open up his spot.

You are right. They do not have any leverage for upcoming trades IMO. I think a team will offersheet sergachev

This is a big year for Sergachev. He has enormous potential but that has to translate into a larger role this year. I don't think youth and potential translates into a McAvoy type contract. He does have 7 points so time will tell.

7,5 millions left with 8 forwars and 4 defense signed... they can't even offer him 3 millions lol

I think if they're trading Martinez and already getting back a forward prospect, they'd likely want a defensive prospect as well. Additionally, they'd want that prospect to be expansion draft exempt. Throw in Perbix as the 2nd propsect along with Verhaeghe and I think the Kings would go for it.
