Actually, I agree totally with you guys. It was just an exercise to see just how little wiggle room the Leafs will have to keep the same lineup more or less. I signed almost everyone on the very cheap end (even Mikheyev). And still, they're just short of the increased salary cap. I just wanted to see how many new grey hair Dubas will have this summer. The answer is: A LOT!

Muzzin will get AT LEAST 5.5 on a multi year deal. Barrie will leave as a UFA because there will be a team that will overpay for him. Mikheyev close to 2.8 to 3.2 on a shorter term if he keeps up this pace and his strong 5v5 play.

Guys, guys. If you read my reply, the thing is... I know.

It was an exercise to put the lowest conceivable salaries and outline the fact that even at that absolute lowest conceivable salaries, it was impossible to keep the actual roster.

Which begs the question: how on earth will the Leafs have a decent blue line next year...????
