They're going to try out Thomas, Kostin, and Kyrou before they trade for anyone. Hate to say there's a silver in any of this, but if there is one it's the fact that they can properly acclimate one of these young prospects into a top 6 role.

No doubt they will give Thomas/Fabbri/Sanford/Blais/MacMac a chance to take bigger roles and roll with it. I would love to see Kostin called up and given the opportunity as well. Kyrou, i imagine will be in SA until he gets quite a few games under his belt, but wont be too far behind, if all goes well. And when i look for outside W help, i can only come up with about a few players from a few teams (FL, LA, NJ, NYR, DET) that would even work.

Kyrou too a serious hit to his value last year with those 16 games he played. I don't see him being an answer on the RW to be honest.
If he comes in this year and looks as bad this year as last, he's done. His trade value will be that of a 5th round pick while you end up trying to shop him.

I would put Kostin in there and be done with it for the next 10-15 games and see how it works out.

Don't disagree and Palmeri would be a very welcome addition. Not even sure if Armstrong wants to make a move given that Petro's status for next year is still up in the air
