I think O’Dog/ tsns radio with Ray Ferraro etc those guys if you have listened laid it out perfectly. The sharks look disinterested at times/ aren’t being held accountable and Karlsson went from being arguably the 3rd best player in the world in 2016 (their opinion) to now looking just lost out there; and lack of interest or effort. No longer him being injured just a lack of effort compared to when the three of them covered the sens and playoffs

Considering Karlsson's play so far I don't know if he has that much value right now. That contract will not age well, and any team acquiring it has to be in a position to win now and be able to take the 11million dollar cap hit for the next 7.5 years.

Id say you might be able to get one over on the leafs if Marner was playing terrible and Karlsson was playing lights out, but I'm not sure thats the case right now.

But yes Karlsson could get any of the leafs (excluding Matthews and Tavares) but currently he is playing bad; that does not discount him. As for marner there he’s got much complaints right now. As for the trade it’s obvious this wouldn’t happen in the real world but I disagree marner would need to be bad and Karlsson would need to be playing 2016 Karlsson to acquire Marner. Right now Karlsson isn’t worth marner but he doesn’t need to be lights out

Right now, I'd take Marner over Karlsson every day of the week and twice on Sundays. 30 year old Karlsson or 22 years old Marner......hmmmmmm

Even if you believe Karlsson is "better" now than Marner, he won't be for much longer. Plus its not like Marner is tied for 9th in NHL scoring or anything.......

Frankly, i'd take Ceci over Melkor Karlsson too.

If Karlsson was put on waivers today, I’m not sure a team would pick him up. He’s looked bad bad bad and that contract is terrifying.

Currently Karlsson isn’t better than marner due to his play.

And well then you’re just wasting 4.5 mil on as he has just be as poor as usual.

Karlsson is in the same category as Price and Toews. They are all paid based on what they have previously accomplished. Those 10+ AAV salaries are a massive overpayment for what they can bring to their team right now.
