Yes good trade, but Miller will never go, he is not leaving that California area.

To get it done, that is what it is going to cost. IMO.

If he wants a better shot at a cup, he might.

Kapanen may equal the value of Manson, 1 for 1, but there is no way Miller equals the combined value of Hutchinson, Ceci, Liljegren and a 1st. Like, that's completely ridiculous.

bad take is bad, Mansons value is much higher than kappy.

Manson is near untouchable, we dont have the depth to move him it would take a ton to even consider moving him Kapanen barely moves the needle.
Kapanen + 1st + Lijegren for Manson is an overpay but the Ducks dont consider any less. Miller for Ceci + Hutch is fair but Miller wont get moved

Josh Manson is not near untouchable. His skill set and right-shot'edness makes him a more premium target, but his value is much closer to Kapanen, as a 1-for-1 than adding all these extra assets. It's simply not worth it. So say the Leafs wanted Manson real bad, Kapanen, Ceci and Bracco (you'd have to include Ceci for cap purposes) would be an overpay. Of the Leafs prospects, Bracco is going to get dealt long before Liljegren is.

Yes he is, we have 2 RD on our roster after him, they are Gudbranson and Holzer. He is near untouchable to the Ducks and wont be moved for any less than a vast over pay, Ceci, Bracco and Kap isnt an overpay for him. The conversation starts with Lijegren and a first or the conversation isnt even had.

Mansons value to the ducks is what makes him near untouchable, his skill set and handedness makes him even more valuable.

He isnt being moved so debating a package he might fetch is moot but Ducks don't even think about it if is it doesnt include a stud RD prospect and a 1st from any team that might be interested

Montour got Guhle and a first, Muzzin got 2 prospects and a first

Manson is worth at fair value at least Lijegren and a first, Ducks dont move him for less than an overpay so Kap on top of that makes sense, you dont need to like it but thats the ballpark of cost for him

You can argue Manson's value all you want, but what you have failed to consider is Kapanen's true and fair value.

I'm not failing to consider his value, but saying its near Mansons is a joke.

I've said putting him in there is an overpay, but the Ducks don't move Manson for something that isnt.

In a hypothetical deal Kap probably isnt the add but his Value doesnt touch Manson's

Haula has proven more than Kap and he got a B prospect and a conditional 5th (Yes i get the cap issues but leafs aren't far off something similar)

Kap has value I never said he didnt, but it is nowhere near what mansons is

And what real value is that? A 3rd line player on a good offensive/bad defensive team in 15th place. He is a 2nd line player on any other team though. IMO, I included fair value in the trade, regardless of whether Anaheim would consider it.
