Don't have a source. Not sure if there was actually any truth to the rumor last year or not. When you read a bunch of beat writer articles there a lot of garbage thrown in.
But I could see them having interest in rust.

I'm sorry. His play in the next month will determine his future. he and Tanev play a very similar role same age same contract. IMO theres no need for two guys like this that are on the higher end of the cap hit for their role.

I also like rust but the idea seems to play into GMJRs thoughts on turning over the guys that were here for both cups. its down to 8-9 guys left 2 years removed.

I think you absolutely need two of those players. the energy and forecheck they both bring to our 3rd and 4th line rn is unreal. Both can play wherever you want them to and they will play well there. These kinds of players dont grow on trees much nowadays. Rust also produces and has points to show why he belongs here. You have an opinion to trade him which is valid but i have a different opinion. We need more rustys not less imo.

This is a WPG fan dreaming.

The penguins aren't trading Rusy, they love what he brings to the ice.
He is fast, he can score, he plays defense, and he can PK. WTF else could you possibly want in a winger!
They aren't trading that. FFS he has 1 goal 2 assists and is a +3 in 2 games this year after coming back from injury.

Go be desperate on pouching some other teams players. We will just laugh at you here.
