It's not a bad thought...but Grubauer is proving he can be the #1, although of they can get Holtby for 7m take it...

Tofolli sucks and isnt worth that contract and Grubi is a number 1 goalie...and that trade, that is just bad no matter how you look at it

Doesnt make sense at all to be honest,

Sorry man but that trade hurts. Cole is a sturdy veteran Dman, Kaut is one of our top prospects. I don't quite understand why we'd have to give up a higher pick than we're getting AND one of our top prospects for such a menial (just over 4mil) cap dump, which Cole is not at this point. Gru is proving he can be a #1 at this point. I don't think Sakic will want to spend 7 mil on a problem he doesn't think he's having. Oilers could use Holtby! If he signs for just 7 mil (likely 8mil) then they could give some stability to that net. I know they may not want to spend 12 mil on a goaltending tandem over 30 but Holland may take some steps like this in the upcoming offseason.

I do not want Braun. I think he's not the most effective defender. I'd rather that spot got to Connor Timmins next year. Timmins will likely be a full-time NHLer (or at least close). Graves won't be worth 2mil next year. Maybe 1.5 at the very most. I don't mind the Bura signing as he has been pretty good this year. Nichushkin has yet to prove he's worth more than a million. I like him, but if he spends the year producing an assist every 10 games, chances are he's heading back to Moscow. I like the Jost signing, I hope that's what it turns out to be.

As for Toffoli, he is just not worth fighting for at this point. He'll be over-payed for too long and I'd rather pick up more depth 3rd-4th liners as guys like Burakovsky, Donskoi, Compher and Jost develop into strong middle 6 core players. I also wouldn't mind trading our 2021 1st rounder for immediate help in the offseason. After this draft I think Colorado would be in a phenomenal situation to trade futures for immediate help.

Yeah this isnt very good tbh

Grubauer is very solid rn being the #1 goalie and Holtby isnt as good as he once was. Ian Cole is a solid 2nd pair D man who can kill penalties and even if you think hes a bit overpaid its only for 1 more year after this one and its not worth giving up a recent 1st round pick to dump his contract. I dont like signing Braun cause we have Timmins (who is probably ready for the NHL right now tbh so he should be fine next year) and I think you overpaid some depth guys (Graves & Nichushkin)

I would be open to Toffoli but I think 5x5.5 is too much for him
