Description
Avs didnt want to do it at 2019 draft, but with Rantanen and Landeskog down, maybe they re think. With Tarasenko out in St Louis, they might be looking at CK20 too, so time to strike might be sooner than anyone expects.

That's a strong no from the Avs not going to give up on a young prospect for a one year rental player

Don't get me wrong, Kreider is a decent player but I think his value gets exaggerated a lot also. We're talking about a 40-50 point player here. He's not a premier top line player, he's already 28, 29 once his new contract kicks in, never put up huge points, etc etc.

Good player, I'd take him on my team any day but feels like he gets put into the elite category based on pretty average statistics.

He'd garner no more than other good wingers have gotten in previous TDL's. See Nyquist, E Kane trades for example. A late 1st rounder would be the main asset they'd reasonably get for Kreider. Newhook was taken 16th OV and hasn't lost of gained any added value since then so Imagine the cost of a guaranteed 16 OV pick. It would be more than a rental winger like Kreider.

Like most posts, somewhere in between "homer and anti" value. He's a beastly presence and GMs know it. He could go for a mid 1st, but I doubt a previous mid 1st that is further developed. Which is exactly what we should be searching for, a few good young forwards, more than picks. In this case adding Hank @1/2 and they add a 2nd might do it!?!
