poehling is not equal to brannstrom. Defense weighs more in terms of trade value than centers do.

Lehkonen is better than lindberg so it helps balance it out, but maybe something else needs to be added too. Poehling was on pace for 240 goals last season pro-rated for the full season, so there is that

That trade might get you Hall. But Montreal should be building for the future. Even with Hall, don't see the Habs getting out of the Atlantic Division. And you're right, Habs really don't need a LWer. And extension, don't happen that often and Canadians probably don't even have the cap for it next season with full roster, and raises too Domi. Mete and Hall.

It’s relative on what the need of the team is. Montreal traded pacioretty to vegas but wasn’t interested in defenseman they where looking for a top center either glass or suzuki was more attractive for them.

    in general weighting on whats most valuable in a trade: Goalie>defenseman>center>winger. in tiers: Starting stud goalie> Top 2 defense> Top line center> top line winger> top 4 dman> second line center> Starting caliber goalie> Middle 6 wingers>Top 6 dman> backup goalie > 4th line center> 4th line winger>

Thats also relative. Mcdavid is worth more a center position than any players in any position including defenseman and goalie. The pens built their team by the centerline for their three last cup with crosby malkin staal talbot and crosby malkin bonino cullen.
