Hahahaha this is not some sort of Green Bay Packers situation where the fans own the team. Any realistic and smart GM would never agree to this from the point-of-view of the Devils.

Interesting. The 3m retained on Schneider seems to be the part that muddies things a bit too much for me. I think in order to get a clearer picture, remove the retention and as a result remove the 2nd rounder from the other side so its:

Podkolzin
Markstrom
Ericksson

for

Hall
Schneider
Add in Blake Speers as a 50 contract limit counter balance.

Ericksson for Schneider is a wash.
Hall for Podkolzin.
Speers for Markstrom - this essentially gives NJ a replacement goalie, gives VAN a replacement prospect and replaces the difference in cash being sent one way offset by value going the other way.

Its a good idea all round.. Depends on quite a few factors though so its tough to know how fair it is.

hard pass from the canucks. keep your broken down goalie and your rental. we are not giving up Podkolzin to get rid of Loui for a rental and cap dump
