Future top-six of Podkolzin-Byfield-Kaprizov and Fiala-Kunin-Donato, with Greenway, Boldy, and Hartman in the bottom-six, would be pretty sick. That's quite the rebuild. But I don't think VAN wants to trade Podkolzin. I think they'd been high on him since even before their draft spot was set.

Four years from now, which is the better bet:

(1) Podkolzin is the next Nikita Kucherov or Vladimir Tarasenko.
(2) Neither Zucker, nor Eriksson Ek, nor the second-round pick is a top-6 forward.

I'm with you: I think Vancouver will take their chances.
