well you can certainly underpay and thats what this is. Seabrook has the worst contract in the league and the 1st and 2nd doesnt even cancel out his value. Gotta send Debrincat the other way

Would you both mind explaining how you came to your respective trades? I might have my numbers wrong but in the last 5 seasons, Connor McDavid has put up 395 points and Patrick Kane has put up 390 points. Putting their ages aside for the moment, a McDavid for Kane straight up would yield you similar offensive results over the course of a season. Now, adding in that Kane is 9 years older than McJesus and is 30 years old definitely means a 1:1 trade EDM loses big time. But I'm unsure how adding Dach, Boker, and another 1st evens this out. I feel like it lopsides this trade in EDM favor. You're giving an almost identical offensive output player plus #3 overall, #8 overall, and another probably top 10 overall player for McJesus. Seems to me an overpayment but I'm interested in your perspective. Thanks.

First age should be co spidered lol. That’s is the whole point. We’re considering a trade. So age; huge. Second I truly believe Kane is a top 5 player in the league especially using last year and I’m a big fan of his, but mcdavid is Much more impactful with a lot of room to grow; this kid can get better let’s take that in. Thirdly; position. Centres have a lot more value and when trading a 1C with the addition of him being the best player in the league means I would need to be blown away. As Dach, and Boqvist for me would put me over the hill plus the first; I would accept it if I was looking to move mcdavid (which I would almost never do). That is why you would need to blow Holland away with an offer. Finally; it’s a small point but this would make the oilers have no 1C. Drai is better suited on the winger clearly and RNH could be 1C but then their depth is shot.
