so delusional lmao 3.25m is not nearly as bad as some other 6m+ contracts its a bad contract yes but come on people over exaggerate his contract

It is not delusional when he is bad now for 3.25 million but he has 4 more years, of bad and he is not going to get better only worse. Cap management is just as important as player acquisition. Why take on a his contract for nothing when you could exact something from a team to take on a bad deal.

People also said that a sweetener and retention would have to happen to move Gudbranson. No sweetener, no retention, plus got an AHLer and a pick in return. I 1st just to take Johnson would not be necessary, at all.

Big difference, Gudbranson is not viewed as negatively as JJ and he has 2 years left where as JJ has 4.
