Stop. Trading. Heinen.

The plan is to get another top9/top6 RW, not deal one and get one in return

OTT doesn't really need Miller and even if that would be a trade, that's too much for Brown. I would expect Heinen and Brown to be close in pts production at the end of the year, if Heinen stays in top6 (which is unlikely)

Not a bad idea .. 2nd line RW remains really only issue on very good team.

I would not trade Heinen for Brown straight up.

One guy is 26 and has a career high of 36pts - Brown.
One guy is 24 and has a career high of 47pts - Heinen.

One guy has 1 goal this year - Brown
One guy has 2 goals this year - Heinen

One guy has a career Corsi & Fenwick rating below 50% with 49.8/48.4 - Brown
One guy has a career Corsi & Fenwick rating above 50% with 53.7/53.7 - Heinen

On top of that they lose a good defenseman and a 3rd pick.

Explain how less points, less possession and an older player makes the Bruins better.

Heinen has been excellent this season, going back to the playoffs. The Dude always makes the right play, he just needs to defer less.
