Zucker

Initial Creation Date: Nov. 1, 2019

Salary Cap Mode: Basic
Description
Seen a lot of the mocks for Zucker include dumping Backes. I personally think that just raises the price for Zucker far too much.

Here we send them Kuhlman, and high-energy guy who has proven he can excel and probably stay in the top-6 if given the chance.
Zboril is a potential top-4 guy who is starting to progress more than he had in his first few years after being drafted.
Obviously if I'm the Wild I'm probably holding out for more, but I think two B(ish) prospects and a middle round pick is enough for a team that is so far in the dumpster.

To help with the cap where I didn't dump Backes, both Miller and Moore get moved for a set of 3rd round picks. Jets need defensive help, and the Ducks could use that toughness on the backend that Miller brings.

The final step to being cap-compliant after the the Zucker deal is either burying Backes or Lindholm in Providence.Putting Backes there gives the Bs a little more room than if it's Lindholm, but I'd be fine with it being reversed as well.

This would work if there weren’t 29 other teams that could make offers for zucker. Someone would significantly top that.

Yeah this was more my ideal give for Zucker based on what I feel is fair. Would you prefer higher picks or another prospect thrown in to what I already have?

I mean, you traded them a few spare parts for a legit player. Kuhlman, lauzon, and a 2nd? Probably still a hard no, and that’s a significantly better package.

Fair enough. Guess my Bruins blinders were on where I see Kuhlman as a legit middle-6, potential top-6 mainstay more so than being a spare part.

Kuhlman, Lauzon, Senyshyn and a 2nd? A winger who has shown he's more than capable in the NHL, a d-man who in limited time has shown NHL readiness, and a winger who (to me) looks close to NHL ready.

It would likely take a 2nd and quality FW prospect or 1st and mid.

Woah woah woah, are you referring to Senyshyn as nearly NHL ready? Senyshyn is nothing. When his entry deal is up (I think they can use the slide rule on him at least once), he might not even be qualified.

senyshyn at this point is a nothing add. kuhlman hasnt proved he can fully play effectively full time in the nhl. i like lauzon and i dont particularly want to move him.

I guess in the games I've seen him play I felt he looked like a big, quick, solid winger. I know he hasn't had the points in the AHL, but felt that was always attributed to the staff trying to round out his defensive game. Maybe I've just been reading into him all wrong and that whole "rounding out his game" has been covering their ass for him just not panning out at all.

its not that, i like senyshyn the player. I think they are trying to make him something he isnt. but he isnt a valuable asset right now.

I think they’re trying to round out his game because they’re hoping he can be a solid fourth liner
