CAP DUMP, retaining of money and 1 in 2021, seems a little lite.

Hawks aren't taking on a cap dump plus retaining money on Saad. For Saad and Gus without any retention, you're looking at a 1st and (2) 2nds. Adding Ceci is negative value, asking the Hawks to retain even a penny is negative value.

I really don't think this is a good move for either club. Gustafsson is Barrie lite and with less polish and Saad, as it is, has a tough time keeping up with the younger, quicker Blackhawks. As for the Leafs, unless it was a real significant move, I highly doubt they would again move a 1st round draft pick considering they didn't have one last draft and will not have one again this draft.

Agree with this, adding on that the Hawks probably wouldn't see much value in Ceci for part of a season.

I don’t see how ceci is negative value. He has been playing fine and is on a 1 year deal.

Let me rephrase; low value. I don't think he's worth more then a 3rd or 4th rounder. In this instance, he's being moved as a cap dump however so his value in this trade is as such.

Leafs don't need LWer Saad..even at 3m. Ceci is OK, replacing him with Gustafsson is going to change the Leafs fortunes.
