Additional Details:
Strictly for buyout, which is likely the only way DB approves of a trade. Can go to any non-contending team with lots of cap space. Won't have to give up the entire prospect pool, his buyout cost 4mil/1mil. I'd rather see Sweeney & co give up assets for him, rather than buy him out and hold dead cap in the years of Boston contending for a cup

I think instead of trading a prospect and a 2nd they would just buy him out and not sign cehlarik i understand where your coming from, i just dont think they do it that way.

I think at this salary Debrusk will be a 6y or over he’s good but need more consistency in his game but if I was Boston I would go for a bridge of 6y 5.5m or 3y 4m

Yeah I don't really see Sweeney trading Backes either, but this would be the best case scenario I guess. I really dislike the idea of having dead cap when all it will take Is a few picks to get that contract off the books, especially when they are contending and can use the money elsewhere (Free agency, deadline deal, etc.)

Lack of consistency is the exact reason to give him a bridge deal. Let him take a decent chunk of change for a short amount of years and prove what he can really be worth. His lack of consistency so far in his career makes me hesitant to commit to him long term (btw 6 years isn't a bridge deal, its a long term deal).
