Edmonton declines, Dallas even more so.

Even if your values are horrible, can the Leafs realistically afford to wait until the deadline to start taking this season seriously? At this rate, they won't be worrying about Boston, and are more likely to miss the playoffs outright. Best-case scenario the Leafs finish 3rd in the Atlantic and they get a pissed-off Tampa Bay with fewer expectations (a la Capitals in 2018). This seems like an issue Dubas needs to resolve by like game 21, not game 60.

Thats a no from Edmonton. They are keeping one of Larsson/Bear. So likely Larsson would be traded. Johnsson+Ceci+pick for Larsson and Benson/Yamamoto/pick would be a deal.

Doubt the Oilers move Bear. Larsson for a winger makes sense for the Oilers but I don’t see them wanting Ceci as part of the return at all. Larsson for Kap or Johnson with pick(s) if necessary to balance

If Edmonton is giving up one of it's quality RHD and taking back Ceci, there isn't a f*cking hope in hell they add a Benson/Yamamoto/Pick. I don't think Johnsson has enough value on his own to warrant that kind of overpay.

Nevermind that Edmonton isn't moving either Larsson or Bear, but a trade surrounding Larsson for Ceci+Johnsson is about the Leafs adding a 2nd Round pick shy of being a good trade to begin with.

Talk about overvalueing player to a massive extend. Id get Johnsson+Ceci for Larsson+Kassian or somebody would be a fair deal, Johnsson is much more valuable than Larsson.

I think you underestimate how much of a ngative asset Ceci is then. That's a $4.5M replacement-level NHL player at best.

After seeing Gudbranson traded for positive value, Ceci definitely without any any any doubt has positive value to an NHL team. Especially with GM that wanted this player before. Ceci>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>Gudbranson in fact..

Larsson wasnt that impressive either in last IDK how much.. but Larsson is better than Ceci, so thats why you get fringe top-6 winger there..

Edmonton wants to make the playoffs not avoid them. Offer that deal and Ken Holland will be rushed to a hospital for laughing so hard he damaged organs.

Leafs and Edmonton do not match up very on a deal. The only sort of deal I could see happening, would be something at the draft where Nylander was traded to the Oilers for Bouchard or Nurse. I doubt there will be any in-season dealings between these 2 clubs. And the Oilers are riding a high, why would they ever want to mess with their chemistry?
