Alzner and Hudon, both AHLers, are a downgrade from Vlasic (especially with 50% retained) and M. Karlsson. The good thing about Alzner is that he's more useful with that 2M retained but he's still a useless player.

And I don't think the Habs need another aging player even with 50% retained.

True, perhaps worth it for 3 years then a likely buy-out candidate. Would rather have Dillon from the Sharks but I know SJ would like to clear some cap space.

i'd take Vlasic under these terms

Vlasic
1st in 2020
2nd in 2020
2nd in 2021 that becomes a 1st if SJS wins a cup because they dumped Vlasic

for

Kulak

straight up cap dump scenario only using the Marleau formula TML payed to buy out a single season
MTL doesnt want him because his value here is 100% dependent on him playing well with Petry .
team Canada has shown us that he sruggles hardcore with Weber .

no interest in paying for Vlasic when Krug and Gostisbhere fit our needs /system better and can offer something to our top 10 Power Play Unit who needs help on 2nd PP unit LD position .
