Love Skjei but Boston is very deep on LD. No need. No cap space either.

I thought that without both Krug and Chara you would need somebody

Rangers have no interest in Hyman, Bracco, and a 3rd round pick. Separately NYR could possibly get a 1st round pick for DeAngelo and a 1st round pick for Georgiev or they could keep them both. Why would NYR want Hyman who's an upcoming UFA? Why would NYR want Bracco, whom they have better prospects the organisation is more familiar with? What draft picks would Toronto trade, because that's what NYR is looking for?

Rangers dont have much of LW depth I believe (I know both Chytil and Lias can play there, but we want them to grow as a centers, right?), Hyman is a type of player we need and Bracco can be traded for a pick when Kravtsov is ready, which is still a long way from my pov. I just think this trade would help both teams in some ways. I can add a 2022 2nd round pick if you think

Do you think 2022 1st top 10 protected and 2022 3rd would make sense?

Krug will be resigned. He loves Boston. They love him. Going nowhere. Still have Grizz. Urho, Zboril, Lauzon all NHL ready. Moore still around for depth. No place to play everyone as it is. Plus with expansion draft looming they can’t protect them all. Mac, Carlo, Krug get protected. Adding another just makes it worse.

Maybe? If Georgiev keeps playing the way he's been playing and Deangelo keeps putting up points, NYR could possibly get a 1st round pick for each of them come the trade deadline. Georgiev does not have arbitration rights for next season, so teams up against the cap and need a goalie might even give up more than a 1st if there's a bidding war for Georgiev. If... He keeps playing the way he's been playing. Also NYR might keep him if Lundqvist requests a trade or retires.

I edited it, go back and read it.

LD is the strongest, deepest spot in the organization.

If Krug moves on, which i highly doubt, a 2nd and Zboril for Skjei would make some sense.

But with 13 roster players becoming UFA or RFA, little cap room, and no need, they will just keep the picks.

Ok, Krug was the best LD available so I just signed him and traded Skjei to team whose top 4 LD will retire soon, but he can be traded anywhere and we can sign anyone
