Jake Virtanen isn't worth much

Yeah but IMO this a pretty fair swap. Virtanen has already shown that he can be a solid Third line guy and he is improving and on pace for 23 goals and 40 points this year whereas Svechnikov being only 2 months younger has yet to secure a full time spot in the NHL. So essentially it's Virtanen for Svechnikov and the edge that Virtanen has over Svechnikov results in the swap of a late second rounder for a middle fourth rounder. What do u think?

The chances of Svechnikov being traded are pretty good but I don't see Yzerman giving up 2nd because the Wings are in a rebuild. I'm not sure but I think Yzerman would be looking for a good young defenseman or a solid D prospect.

How about Svechnikov and 2020 2nd round pick (WSH) for Woo and Vancouver keeps their pick. Now that may be uneven because I have idea how Vancouver values Woo.

Yeah I think Vancouver would be interested in that but are you sure that Detroit would be interested?

I mean, it's a trade. Pretty much nothing in the trade has value, so whatever. Maybe the change of scenery helps one of them. Basically neutral in value because none of the pieces have any. Reminds me a little of the Lindholm for Petan deal.

I do. The Wings like him and if they feel he won't fit in and since he is in the last year of his contract (RFA) I think they do trade him.
