Probably. I think Holland will want a pick though.

That's an interesting offer- but at this point I have to say no - NYR still have hopes Lias can develop into a solid mid 6 presence....the problem right now with him (not necessarily a fault of his own) is his deployment...for whatever reason the team has a fascination w/ Bret Howden- which relegates Lias (who has a higher ceiling than Howden) to 4th line...which means trying to make the best of playing with linemates (Haley and Smith) who have no business suiting up as wings on any NHL or even AHL team.

As far as JP- his pedigree is unquestionable- and who knows- maybe a change of scenery would put his career on track...but you do have to question a talent like that who couldn't stick in a lineup featuring the McD, Drais, and RNH. At this point JP is certainly worth taking a gamble on- but I wouldn't offer more that a few picks (can include conditional upgrades based on his performance) and a mid tier prospect.

Yes. Lias Andersson would be great for you guys as a 3C. He’s excellent in the defensive zone and has decent offensive upside. As long as he isn’t kept on the 4th line or with trash players, Andersson could be an impactful player.

You’re totally right but with Howden, Henrikkson and Chytil on the come up along with Andersson, someone will eventually have to be moved. Moving Andersson for Puljujarvi whose been really good in the Finnish league would be a good move for us. I just doubt Gorton thinks the same way.

No way Gorton makes this trade... Why would the Rangers or any other wise GM trade for a bust of a 1st round pick like PulJujarvi? If Puljujarvi is such a great prospect, why is EDM trying to trade him? Why is he playing overseas instead of playing in the NHL? Gorton said last trade deadline he's not interested in other teams prospects and that he wants draft picks instead. Any GM that trades anything of value for Puljujarvi is a fool and Gorton has proven that he's no fool.

IMO it's too soon to call him a bust, and the oilers don't want to trade him, he requested a trade. He is playing overseas because he doesn't want to play in EDM. As for you saying that Gorton isn't interested in other teams prospects, well he probably changed his mind, because he has shown interest in puljujarvi.

Well the reason why the Oilers want to trade him is because Puljujarvi refuses to sign any contract with the Oilers. Oilers aren't really willing to trade him but Puljujarvi doesn't want to be a part of that team. That's why he has an NHL opt-out clause in his contract in Europe in case the Oilers trade him

They do seem to have high hopes for Henrikkson- but he is at least 2 years away...for sure one of Howden or Andersson will have to be either traded or moved to wing...just wish the Rangers would play Lias with NHL calibre wings- so we could get a better idea about what he can be.

He is playing over sees bc he doesnt want to be in the Oilers org, Edmonton isnt trying to trade him, Jesse is trying to get traded.
Its really not that dissimilar of why Kravtsov is in the KHL and not on the Rangers/AHL. He is taking his development into his own hands

That's not true... Puljujarvi has already played 139 games in the NHL for EDM and when he didn't make the team this year because he sucks, he went to play overseas. Saying he doesn't want to play for EDM is a flat out lie. EDM doesn't want Puljujarvi to play for them because he's not good enough to play in the NHL.

Puljujarvi has already played 139 NHL games and did not make the EDM roster out of trading camp because he's not good enough to play in the NHL after 139 games. Kravstov is 19 years old and never once played a single NHL game. This is the only year Kravstov has an out clause and will rejoin the AHL team and/or Rangers at seasons end. Kravstov is signed to a contract. Puljujarvi is not signed because EDM knows after 139 NHL games that he's not good enough to play in the NHL. Sooo horrible comparison, do you want to try again?

Well you obviously haven't paid any attention this entire offseason. Here a short summary: Oilers wanted to extend Puljujarvi. Puljujarvi is unhappy about how he has been treated at the Oilers in the past years and was unwilling to even negotiate with them. He requested a trade, but the Oilers don't necessarily want to trade him because management wants him on the team. So they ask quite a lot in return, which results in him not being traded yet so he signed a contract in Europe. This contract includes a NHL opt-out clause in case he gets traded because he wants to play in the NHL. But like he said: he'll never play a game for the Oilers.

He never reported for trainingcamp. It's ok if you don't follow the Oilers, but try to stick with the facts please

Did you just 100% ignore the point...they are taking their development into their own hands. Edmonton did no favours for Puljujarvi, jerking him up and down from NHL to AHL and once in the NHL wanting him to be a 3rd line net presence guy, which goes against ever skillset his possesses. Thats like Quinn asking Kakko to be a guy who tips pucks in front of the net.

He went to Europe to work on his game and avoiding being in the Edmonton system, and he would be exposed to waivers so he cant work in the AHL. thats why he is not signed

Kravstov went back tot he KHL to avoid being in the AHL so he can work on his development overseas as well.

Get off your soap box and actual absorb some facts and concepts for once. Explain to be how 2 players playing in Europe over North America taking their development into their own hands playing on teams that are on their teams a "Try Again". Oh right its the same concept

Hard to believe that with a new coach and new GM in EDM that Puljujarvi would not report to training camp. Just does not add up and make sense. Seems more likely he wasn't offered a contract.

The facts don't add up, even more so than wishing or suggesting that I'll have an accident. Considering EDM now has a new coach and new GM it does not make sense or add up that Puljujarvi would not report to training camp. Seems much more likely he was not offered a contract.

I did not ignore your point, I just don't agree with your point. Puljujarvi was "jerked" down to the AHL because he sucked in the NHL and that's where he's best suited to play.

I also disagree with your point about going to Europe to work on his game... Going to Europe to work on ones game is pointless. Bigger ice surface, more of an east west game than the more physical north south game. A player goes to Europe because he wants to be near home, not to work on his game.

As for not going to the AHL because he'll be exposed to waivers... That makes no sense as well. Unless you're admitting my point that he wasn't offed a contract and had nothing to do with him not reporting to training camp. If he wants to be traded than being picked up by another team off waivers would be just as good. Your such a lier, anything to prove a fake point right Colorado boy.

Comparing Puljujarvi to Kravstov is absolutely ridiculous! Kravtsov is 19 years old and being closer to home at that age is understandable to being a betterment to his development. Puljujarvi playing closer to home for the before mentioned facts makes no sense at all and completely hurts his development.

Sooo no I did not ignore your point... Your point is pointless and 100 percent fake news.

If he wasn't offered a contract by June 30th 2019, he would have become a UFA. Since his status is RFA, he was clearly offered a contract. Do a tiny bit of research into the situation and you'll see that the guys that tried to educate you above know what they're talking about.

Shut up and learn.

"Shut up and learn" (CD282). First off, don't tell me what to do. But since you already did, how about you use your brain and think. Second, I was clearly the one who educated them... As for your suggestion to "do a tiny bit of research into the situation (CD282)." How about instead you put yourself into the situation and see if it makes any sense... "You'll see that the guys that tried to educate (me) above (don't) know what they're talking about" (CD282) and their story doesn't add up.

According to your facts (which without me researching I will assume is correct) and Puljujarvi was offered a contract or he'd be a UFA and not currently an RFA. 1st- "Puljujarvi was offered a contract by EDM" (CD282). 2nd- EDM has a new coach. 3rd- EDM has a new GM. 4th- Lucic, whom some have claimed Puljujarvi hated playing with, was traded. Why would Puljujarvi not report to training camp? If he did request a trade, basically EDM traded everyone Puljujarvi had a problem with instead. Why in the world would Puljujarvi then not report to camp? Use your brain... The facts don't add up. There's no proof to the math. For what I've been saying is correct and maybe you should "shut up and learn"! Don't believe everything you hear on tv, read in the tabloids, and what you hear from your friends and strangers, instead put yourself into the situation and see for yourself if the story makes any sense.

you really are a special case....he was given a qualifying offer, he rejected it (like 90% of RFAs do) and they have offered him a new contract, he doesn't want to sign with the Oilers and has asked for a trade.

Either you are the worlds worst troll or you dont understand how the NHL works. Either or, its getting pretty sad on your part,...shows how bad of a troll you are saying 100% fake news, you must be a child if thats your rebuttal.

Have a good one kid, and try to be more civil and process the information around you next time before throwing out hot takes and fake news claims

Being called a troll by a troll is a compliment. Thank you! You're not very good with the insults, I'm not the slightest insulted. I'll be more civil to you when you're more civil to Rangers fans proposing trades on this site. What's sad is you trying to explain the BS hot takes and fake claims you're throwing against the fan.

Why doesn't Puljujarvi want to sign with EDM? If he requested to be traded and EDM instead trades (fired) the coach, the GM, and trades the player he didn't like playing with (Lucic), why would he not sign and report to training camp. Either he's not good enough to play in the NHL and he knows it or he a total premadona. Either way the Rangers are not trading Anderson or anyone else of value to acquire a talentless or spoiled brat like Puljujarvi. So stop trolling Rangers trades and stick to commenting on Colorado trades!
