I love Lehner, but I’m not big on 8 year deals anymore (seabrook syndrome). How bout 5 or 6x8. He might even take 7 if he really likes it here.

That was the steal off the off season. I would go 3/4 x 8 or whatever outbids the rest of the league and keep resigning him over the 8x security

I see a six year deal not eight. Get it done Stan!!!! Great off season signing, as I said at the time it solidified the Hawks goaltending. I think Crawford’s played well too. I recall only one soft goal, the winning goal against the Flyers, first game. Corey had some misfortune while in net.

Did you see the first two goals against LA? Crow has given up some bad ones this season, and correct me if I'm wrong but Lehner has not.

Yes, I knew I would get flack for those two goals, after I wrote this, but I will say still he has been solid in net. Lehner has been amazing. I don’t seen any weakness.

Speaking of the L.A game, it must get infuriating for management when the club wants to work. I am referring to how efficient the club moved the puck in the offensive zone before they tied up the game. Good speed, puck possession, played with a purpose and urgency, something this club has not done constantly.

With all the flack he has received, I thought Seabrook played a good game.
