Not sure why sharks would ask for a 26 year old third division goalie but otherwise the deals not bad.

I have some questions on if Winnipeg is actually willing to take the most overrated Defenseman in the League for Roslovic. I think there are better choices to pick from in the league rather than going for a Defenseman who doesn’t play Defense and Above Average Offense at best.

What goalie are you talking about? For the trade this is brutal for the Sabres. Why trade cost control center for 30 year player who just started 8 year 8 million dollar deal. Not worth it for sabres at all. Not saying he isnt good player but that contract will look bad in couple years and cozens can be in your top six next 3 years for under a million.

I think Risto has proved doubters wrong this year and asking price is just going up. He plays against other teams top line, first PK and plays 24+ mins a night. The team is off to one of best starts thanks to his play. The hate he still gets is just incredible and shows they have never watched him play.

Yeah, @BeastModeUnknown is right here. There will be less expensive options for them, that don't cost them Jack Roslovic.... sorry.

The way I see it though is, Sabres are getting their 2C, and they're getting a forward prospect in the Risto trade, and theyll have plenty of picks to get another one, so other than a name Sabres fans are used to, they are breaking even. Im not worried about the Couture contract

People will hate Risto and nothing said or even watching him play will change that. The majority of people are too stubborn to change their mind. Its not really worth argueing at this point. Its best to just roll youre eyes and move on

Risto looked pretty good this season, I would be looking for more attractive options for a deal, but I don’t like Miller’s game at all, he now looks like our weakest defender. His couple with Dahlin was a disaster in the last games, it seems to me that it’s just contraindicated to play together, I would connect him with Pilut or Gilmour if we trade Risto and Skandella.

Hes just meh, i see him as a depth pickup for the Avs with their current injuries and moving into the post season.

wouldnt be a bad pick up, pending UFA, if Rants is out longer (apparently hes closer than once feared) or if Wilson isnt close to returning wouldnt hate this kind of move.
missing 3 of your top 9 fowards would be tough for an extended period of time, so not a bad trade if thats the case

I think Johnsson has look good at 2c. I dont think Corture would bigger enough upgrade to lose cozens. It also will put us in cap hell going forward. I hope in a year or two mittlestadt will be btter then him which means you have 8 million dollar 3c. To say you dont care about contract is just dumb. Paying 34-38 year 8 million is cap killer. Not worth it. In three years the sharks will have to add picks/prospects to get rid of him.

In 4 years the cap ceiling will be exponentially higher, and i dont see him dropping off that fast

I think you would crazy to trade 18 year old for 30 year old. He will drop off all players do, he is not special.

Eventually, but whats to say Cozens becomes half of what we get from Couture, just cause we liked him in camp. Theyre will be plenty of other first rounders, the Sabres dont really need that, they need established veteran talent thats hungry for a cup

That is true. But more importantly is why would you want the cap hit. With him in the fold you will likely have to trade Mittlestadt for cap reasons.

But playing consistently for an entire season is what I’m worried about yes he is doing good sure but how long is that gonna last just enough to flip him for top dollar then he goes to crap again is my concern.

He had bad coaching and a bad team around him in the past . Finally has good coaching and they are getting talent around him . Nothing to worry about
