Jets lost first half and won the second half of the trade, not that they were combined by any means, but I hate losing Lemieux and pick for Hayes, but absolute love heinola and pionk for trouba

I mean if you actually look at the trade itself, I’d say NYR won, as at the time it was pionk + WPG 2019 1st. But since Chevy killed it at the draft with the pick and Both pieces have been great, I’d say WPG wins in the long run.

Both teams win this trade-- which is rare-- only because Chevy did a good job at the draft.

WPG definitely took an initial hit this season and maybe next, but it'll eventually even out. They addressed a need they had at LHD by getting rid of a surplus RHD they couldn't resign. Perhaps the largest impact on making this a negative for WPG is that Buff also isn't playing. If he was, they probably would be fine
