Thoughts On Game vs Bruins

Team Explanation
I thought the Pens played an extremely good game, they outplayed and out-chanced the Bruins by a wide margin. Most of the night, they were relentless with their transition, forecheck and offensive zone possession. It was the first time this season which I've seen a team be able to skate circles around the Bruins and have them under-siege.

Murray has been great this season, but I felt he didn't have a great game. Poor rebound control and was shaky on his angles. Jarry wasn't great either, but it was just one of those nights. I felt goaltending was the biggest difference in the game.

Gotta give a lot of credit to the Bruins, they find a way to win no matter what. Last night, they didn't get a lot of great chances, but they made it count. That is what a true contender looks like, and it is more than evident that they are an unstoppable force.

Pens were clearly the better team through most of night and 2nd period was an all out assault .. shots were 17 to 2 at one point in period. But both teams very good

The Penguins got away with 2 penalties at one point as well, but the Bruins are going to win the Presidents' Trophy this season. They look even better than last season's Lightning.

It's only November. There is a lot of hockey yet to be played for both teams.

Hey good to see you today. Much as you hate the Bruins i figured you were ion suicide watch after last night, lol

Pens outplayed the B’s last night big time. B’s did not deserve that one. Ya the B’s should have had a couple more PPs in the final 10 minutes but so should the Pens have. Wild finish could have been wilder.

Game was sloppy but entertaining.

I agree but Im very worried about Letang being out bc wow what a difference from when he got hurt last nite.
- Told everyone to give Juggs some time, he started playing good now
- Gota give Chucky & Geno 20-25 gms bf u can evaluate them, is Geno 100%?

I was wondering that too. I think maybe he has a groin issue. Just by the look of it.

The most important thing is that the Bruins found a way to win even though they were not playing at their best. That's what makes them so unstoppable.

I don't know what to expect from Geno anymore. He made some nice passes but seemed extremely slow and didn't demonstrate much agility. He's old and maybe the injuries have caught up on him, but look at Bergeron who is 34 playing at full speed.

It's only 4 games. I think you are high as a kite if you think Malkin can't play anymore.

I think he will be fine, he was spectacular before he got hurt... like he looked scary good in those 2 1st gms... give him 3-4 gms to get going & get to 100%

He's not the same player he once was. I did see him attempt to simplify his game on Monday night. It will be essential to make up for his lack of speed.

He is still a Top 10 player, let the dude get healthy & let him adjust to new line mates. I kno its not popular but having Tanev's speed on his wing looked very good to me, dont get why they didnt go back to that?
