Why so? Leafs get a player who is physical. Dillon threw 201 hits last year. Someone the leafs are dying to get there hands on, we dump ceci and yea we lose kappy but Moore can easily move up the lineup and he deserves a bigger role anyway, then we can timo on the 4th with spezza and goat

Because the value is bad. Dillion/Heed are marginally better than our current options so why throw out a capable and valuable member of our team for a minor upgrade.

Again we get into this fascination that other teams bottom end players are so much better than the Leafs players.
Is Heed really better tha Ceci, or is this just a trade Ceci at any cost trade.? Kapanan is worth a lot more than expiring contract Dillon.
Gee I not sure even the Sharks want to do the deal. They lose two NHL regulars and only get one in return. Without their first round pick this summer, the Sharks don't want to fall in the standings any further.
Why do some many think Ceci is so bad. He's playing partner Reilly has been really poor defensively this season.

When the Sharks were on last year mid season before the Karlsson and Simek injuries, the Dillon/Karlsson pairing was solid. Dillon was physical, defensive, and really allowed Karlsson to be play freely. I think he could do wonders for Reilly.

Heed has been in PDB's doghouse for over a year. I'm not entirely sure why he resigned to be honest.

Sharks would do this trade because Dillon's contract is expiring and they need a RW with a little term, but it only works if ANA takes Ceci. We have no need for him.
