Murphy is our best Dman, we are probably not going to trade him for that reason. However, if we did trade him it wouldn't be for that return.

Not even close. Copp is too valuable and imo maata is a cap dump. I would do 1 for 1 for Murphy.

Maatta for Lowry 1 for 1? Maatta is definitely not a cap dump, he is a very good #4 defenseman with 2 cups but he becomes redundant with De Haan for us by next year.

What do you think Murphy is worth Stan?

If the Blackhawks got rid of him I would probably go into a hockey stasis. In other words, much more than you would be willing to give up.

Lowry and a 2nd is a complete over payment by Winnipeg...not Chicago. Also Niku & Roslovic's contract will not be that high. Niku will be spending the majority of the season in the AHL, a 2 year deal around 1 million would be more accurate. In Roslovic's case, it depends how he plays going forward, if he gets a shot at 2C it could be as high at 2.75/2 years.

My answer was that you didn't want the answer.

Currently, I wouldn't take anything less than a First-round pick and a B+ forward prospect.

Oh I'd totally do a 2021 1st, wouldn't do a 2020 1st though, also I'm not sure the Jets really have a B+ forward prospect.

You could make the 2020 first a conditional pick which is protected. I would really want a first-rounder for this year though, so go ahead and throw in a third-round pick if the first is transferred to 2021.

A 2021 1st yes, I don't mind Murphys game and he's got term which is good, rental trades suck and especially for a team in Winnipeg.

Who else would you trade for and who or what are you willing to part with??

Little is out for a while imo doc roslovic gets his shot I think. Niku hasn’t played cause he’s injured. He will be up by the end of the month barring injury. And seeing niku play this season, he will get more than 1 at least
Rooney liked this.

As I said, I think he is a cap dump but so is Lowry to some extent. Copp isn’t though at all. Maata for copp isn’t even close. Maata for Lowry is though but the jets have no need for maata

To be honest I wouldn't really want to part with Lowry (or Copp). I do agree 100% we need a RHD but I would maybe look at other options before committing to Murphy. All depends on the trade market though obviously.
