Did you throw a 3rd in because Parayko had more goals and assists than Nylander last year?

Going to have to blow the doors off the blues to even enter the conversation about parayko

They won’t, and neither will the blues.

Nope, not at all. Hyman plays LW anyway.

We both know the blues obviously wouldn't even consider this.... I being said, I'm ok with moving one of Nylander or Marner for a #1RHD who would pair nicely with Rielly (cough Seth Jones cough) but I'm ok with keeping this team the way it is for now until Babcock is gone and we have a better understanding of what our D situation will look like next year.

I think ceci catches more **** than he should. Was a perfect game by him against LA and in the Philly game he gets blamed for Marner’s miscue on the PK. Holl has been playing like a number 4 guy, much better than Barrie in my opinion.

If we rolled into next season with Rielly Dermott sandin liljegren and Holl I see a vacant spot at 1 rhd. There are two options trade/sign for someone to pair with Rielly or move Dermott there. The latter would give us the option of moving up sandin or re signing muzzin.

I wasn't/haven't been talking **** about Ceci. To me he's a one-year stopgap and nothing more.

I get it next year we got Rielly, Sandin, Liljegren under contract and we know Dermott will be signed, but I would be fine with trading one of those two IF we could get someone who could pair nicely with Rielly. Personally, I don't think it's fair to Dermott to pair him with Rielly (not a knock on the kid or anything) just that he would be facing the toughest competition every night as well as having to cover up Rielly's defensive miscues and I think that it could be to much pressure on him. I would rather bring in a top pairing guy via trade or FA. That being said would wait until after FA to see if we can get Hamonic first.

I think Holl is quickly earning a new contract as well. I wasn’t specifically saying you, I meant in general and mainly by the media. Surprised Barrie isn’t catching more to be honest.

I think holl will be back as well. And IMO Barrie is playing it safe and just needs to get back to playing his style, he will give up a lot of opportunities in our end but it's a trade-off with what he can do on the offensive side of the game, much the same as Rielly except he already has a great defensive dman paired with him (not a knock on Ceci).

You're right though Ceci shouldn't be taking the heat he has and Barrie should shoulder more responsibility but I think the reason why he's traded so much on here has more to do with his price tag than anything.

But ceci fits in the cap space. Unless there is an upgrade we can pull with ceci and picks/prospects that brings in that same salary I don’t see any benefit.

This is just my opinion but I think when people look at the roster and the cap situation when Hyman comes back they look at Ceci as the first option out the door. I agree though it doesn't benefit us unless as you say we can package him with picks or prospects to get an upgrade or replace him with a cheaper option. Again this is just my opinion.

It’s my belief that the leafs will be using the unlimited emergency loan loophole to circumvent cap issues. I think the plan is to keep the 21 man roster.

Mine as well, I should note that I don't share their beliefs it's just my opinion on their thought process is all. Although I think we might need to go with a 20 man roster. I'm not sure as I haven't done the math though.
