My opinion on these trades:

Trade 1;
I don't think Detroit does this trade. Yes Athanasiou is having an awful start to this year, but he's coming off a 30 goal year and has potential to be a great top 6 player in their rebuild, also the team has a lot of depth on the right side of their D (not good depth, but depth), and although they could use an offensive weapon back there some of their young guys have the potential to become that e.g. Hronek, or Cholowski. Also I like Rodrigues, but he's a type of player that Detroit are already has in spades on the roster e.g. Helm, and Nielsen.

Trade 2; Although the Jets are desperate for experienced D, they're not gonna give up on Roslovic just yet, I say he has one year left to prove he can be top 6 centre for them.

Wings Trade:
Im a fan of athanasiou but at the same time I have been really impressed by ristolainen defensevly and offensevly this year and I dont see the need to trade him, if he does start to fall off a cliff agian trade him at the trade deadline but i dont see the imeadeate need to do that just yet.

Jets Trade:
I would be a fan of this trade... if we werent giving up bryson, tbh i really like bryson and I dont really think we can aford to get rid of him at the moment as buffalos left eside deffensivly has started to become much weaker to there right side give up a right side prospect instead

Jets aren't that desperate for a defenseman.

One overpayment to Detroit and an "underpayment" based on their perceived value to Winnipeg doesn't even out to a good post unfortunately. AA is a decent target though.

I disagree Detroit says NO.

As a mater of fact I doubt Buffalo even offers Risto in a trade. He's playing better defensively from what I've seen and heard.

Risto just doesn't fit in to Yzerman's plan AA was/is in a slump but he has been the Wings best player in Detroit's last 2 games after scoring his first goal of the season it looks like he is also getting his confidence back. Plus he is still one of the fastest skaters in the league top 5 at least and Yzerman really does like him.
