I'm from Europe so I'd say you need to google lol. I assume you're joking but here you go, a serious reaction. Russia is considered a European country since all important cities are located in the European part, and over 75% of the people live in the European part.

In 1991 the Soviet Union stopped existing. It's true that geographically Russia is mostly located in Asia. But 77% of the people are living in the European part, all the big Russian cities are located in the European part and on top of that, Russia is considered as an European country from a political point of view

They aren't part of the EU simply because they don't want to. Switzerland isn't part of the EU. Are they still an European country? To follow your logics. If Russia is an Asian country, why are they participating at the European championships?

You know Eurasia right? The largest continent on earth? Russia is part of that continent. There isn't really a border between Europe and Asia. The Ural is considered as the delimiter between Europe and Asia. By far the most Russian people live on the side which is considered European. The most important cities, like Moscow, are located in Europe. Sorry to say it, but Russia is considered as an European country
