Hmm so basically a bottom-6 winger who is struggling this year for #5D with contract ending after season and trade of two high quality prospects is a bad deal, eh?

Nothing against Yah but we’re 14-18 games in, and vinny is pretty solid, he could turn around and They’re going for the playoffs and Ceci doesn’t fit into Arizona’s team so they moving a roster player who could put up 30-45 points if he gets going again for Ceci who’d likely be on their bottom pair for 4.5mil. I just think it doesn’t make sense for Arizona, they’ve got quite a few expensive RD and even for 1 year it’s still a lot of money and guys

Is Jensen better than Ceci? His stats say no and if Jensen is playing OK, why would Caps move him? Same with Copley. Gee his AHL stats are bad this year. but Caps might like him as NHL back up next season as Holtby will be UFA gone.
We seem to get this never ending trading of Ceci. Seemingly he's so bad (he isn't) ...so he's tradeable and then the Leafs acquire a cheaper and better RHD. I have yet to see a Ceci trade and a Ceci replacement trade that makes sense.

I have quite liked the play of ceci this season. I think his physical play against LA really showcased what he is able to do. I think both he and and Holl have been my two favourite surprises this season.

I think it's a fair argument that if you find a better match for Rielly(personally I think it's Dermot) then Ceci should be moved. It'll save money and I think Holl may be better anyways so ship him out.

Ceci has allowed a lot of goals this year by wrong positioning. Mainly on the pk. I am really not much of a fan but he's definitely better than advertised. I really hope Dermot pushes his way up there and excels. If that was to happen, I'd also move Ceci and bring Sandin back up to play with Holl. Of course Dermot has to do a tonne to force Babcock's hand but if he does, I hope Dubas shoots Ceci into the sun immediately so Babs doesn't pick Ceci over bringing up Sandin.

In your opinion on the PK when marner tracked his man down low and ceci traded off with him was that marner’s or ceci’s mistake?

I’m not here to say ceci has been perfect. Far from it. If he plays more like he did in the LA game I think he will be a great partner for Rielly. As far as footing ceci into the sun I think Barrie is the one on thin ice. But neither should be traded. There’s no salary cap in the playoffs and we may need the depth.

I said this in another ACGM and happy to say it again: Ceci has made about the same number of mistakes as all other Leafs D.
He has been getting better and the TSN broadcast pointed that out during that LA game.

Bracco always seems to be the sweetener in trades involving TOR on here. How much value does he have? From what I’ve heard he’s basically a playmaking version of Daniel Sprong except he hasn’t played a game in the NHL yet. He’s on his last year of his ELC and hasn’t even been an injury call up yet.

He’s just buried in Toronto’s right wing depth. Middle 6 potential great vision and edges but not a lot of speed. Would be on the bottom 6 on many teams already. He won’t get a chance with Toronto. Probably worth a 3rd or 4th to the right team. Low risk high reward for a team to pick him up.
