Description

Interesting break in season for Tampa .. 2 games with Buffalo in Sweeden with 13 days between US games .. makes the Global Series almost like Training Camp Deux .. observations and trades ..

1. 4th line is locked as is Point playing with Kuch .. and that's it in top 9 .. scary part is it not finding the "right combination" .. it exposing "talent gaps"
2. Hedmen is by far most important Bolt
3. Take away 1 high shot low GA win at Montreal and Vaz has lowest save % in NHL .. how?
4. Immensely tough schedule upcoming from mid Nov to mid Dec .. over 12 games against higher point teams

With all that said .. a top 9 forward and top 4 D could solve alot of issues .. skill and culture fit and trades can NOT wait to TDL .. do the deals below ASAP and give team 40 games to gel

Honestly, Vasilevskiy's underlying numbers have been far from impressive, with a negative GSAA in every season per Corsicahockey. He got carried big time by the defense. He doesn't have to save a lot of high danger chances because Tampa don't allow a lot of them. Defense isn't helping Vasilevskiy, which is why people get to see the real Vasi

you say you have cap room for Hall and Vatanen yet this roster is almost $9M over the cap. I know you have 25 players on this roster but getting rid of a couple of them wont make enough room unless you trade someone else or get CGY and NJD to retain a lot of $$$

Tampa has 10M or so now in cap at deadline .. trading Johnson and Serge adds another another 3Mish .. dropping Schenn and Rutta another 1M.. so plenty to pay for above 4 guys salaries for half a season .. issue is next year but 3 above are UFA .. sign Hall only in 2020 and trade Killorn off season .. unless miracle comes and Gourde goes .. this scenario also has Cal Foote FT next year and 1 cheap UFA D and no need to overpay Sergachev

Sure .. no problem .. no TJ .. no Serg .. trade Killorn .. Joseph? .. very manageable .. foote Volkov and 2 others at mininum salary helps..

I disagree, i think he makes a lot of sense for CGY, right shot that can play C too, gritty despite his height and scores goals. Would pair well with Chucky

They need a playmaking C not a small C who scores.
Is even the #2 C on Tampa? I heard it might be Cirelli.

There are no 2C's available, at least not until RNH, Backstrom is resigning and Kadri/Shenn are not available anymore. Danault might be available but Flames have nothing to offer Montreal. The reality is Backlund will be 2C or Monahan/Lindholm will be, regardless an upgrade to top 6 wing is needed and TyJo is a pretty solid option

Well, considering Hamonic doesnt want to discuss extension its a little worrying that he just walks at FA, i agree that i would prefer to keep Hammer since he probably wont sign anywhere that isnt calgary or Winnipeg
