Far. It's far.

Fleury's potential isn't materializing. He is still a fringe player unable to keep his NHL 3rd pair spot every night.

Kreider's value is going to be through the roof at TDL, even more if he agrees to an extension. We are talking a first, a second and an established NHL player (see Pacioretty, Stone deals)

You could ask Google to learn more about Fleury, that's what I do instead of asking strangers. No offence. People are quick to love/hate any player here.

As much as I love Kreider hes not getting that package. And all Google tells me about Fleury is that he has good possession numbers but has seen his TOI regress the past 3 years. That's why I wanted other people's input who have seen him play more.

No we don’t... we have a jam rn plus we have way too many defensive prospects who play left wing... and one name in particular makes this trade unlikely.. Keandre miller

Rykov, Miller, Robertson, and Reunanen are all in the pipeline. Hajek and Lindgren need ice time to see what we have with them. At this point we need forwards because after Kravstov and Barron the younger kids are really raw.

Out of all of those names only 1 projects to be a top pair guy. And none of them seem to be ready for a consistent role in the NHL. Is that talent, is that the way DQ shuffles guys in and out. Now dont get me wrong I think a lot of those names could become quality NHL defensemen but it's never a bad idea to stock the pipeline with talent. You can add depth on the wing in FA or trade market. Hard to find quality defenders who aren't going to cripple your salary cap situation.

You still need the ice time to see if they can play. Hajek and Lindgren are in the NHL now and one will have to watch some nights when Skjei and Staal play. Rykov will need his NHL chance next year at the latest and Reunanen and Miller might as well.
