I feel like we could get more for Tatar, VGK paid a 1st, a 2nd and a 3rd when he was not as good as he is now

Habs are trying to be better team and make the playoffs. What's the purpose of trading of one of your top two wingers for non immediate help?
IMO, I think it's bad long term to even have JKotk on left wing. Have him learn to be a centre, even at the AHL level. In a couple of years. Domi, KK, and Poehling at centre...that could be really good.

I am a HABs fan to the core, but if you look at this team, even if we make the playoffs, we don"t have a chance. So i say lets let the kids play, get a couple good draft picks, maybe i should have asked for more for Tatar. Point is he has value now. This way we can let KK be on the wing, get stronger and keep Poehling at Ctr.

That really not how teams are Stanley Cup built. Teams don't sell if their teams have potential if they are playoff bound. Most teams growth is dependent on incremental growth...playoff runs, some playoff defeats then serious Cup runs. Being a non playoff for years and then thinking a team is truly a Cup contender...rarely happens.
