That's ugly for MTL... Like really... Hanifin is nothing spectacular and KK certainly have that potential... It will take a Jones type of dmen for us to trade KK... Another fan thinking he should put 60 points this year to NOT be a flop

I wouldn't get rid of kotkaniemi if I was Montreal, he has elite potential and will be this teams #1 center in about two years I would say

I'm absolutely not saying KK is a flop! I know he has big potential and that sooner he'll be an elite center.

My point is : habs absolutely need a top pairing LHD. They won,t get anything good by trading Lehkonen or Tatar. (maybe Brodie or Leddy, but they are only patches, they aren't long term top pairing Ds)
If we want a top player, we'll need to give something good! I suggested KK because I don't think Suzuki or Poelhing in a package with Tatar/pick would be enough.

Hanifin is still young too, he's still going to improve a lot, he also has a lot of potential, and he's on a very friendly contract.

KK isn’t Jones good. He’s still young and can get better but his value is far from jones... sometimes paying for potential isnt beneficial

I think he is more saying that KK will bring a dmen like the Johansen - Jones trade happened in the past.. Well that's what I hope cause we all know he is far from Jones value, as of right now

Well then you’re keeping him. Jones is worth so much more than that.

This is interesting, i dont think Flames would do this this year, at least not while Valimaki is injured but the value is pretty close. Hanifin has looked fantastic this year, really starting to look like the top 10 pick he was drafted as. Hes only 22 so he still has a lot of growning room too. Obviously KK has a lot of potential too but this value is pretty close. Best offer for Hanifin ive seen on here for sure
