Quoting: ChytilMania
I’d do this deal if I was the Rangers. We get rid of Skjei and his contract which he hasn’t lived up to so far, and Howden is good but there isn’t much room and a solid speedy player in Anthanasiou should always be welcome.
ChytilMania makes a valid point that contract is awful.

I think the value is pretty goodreally. a 25 year old top 4 defenseman is definitely something Detroit needs
Seider MIGHT be a #2 Dman at his peak.
Now DeKeyser, Hronek, McIssac are all 2nd pair. Cholowski still needs to work on his defensive game but now he is #4 or #5.
Then Hicketts, Bowey are 3rd pair guys.
Nemeth was brought to be help with the transition Green, Daley and Ericsson won't be back and starting a season with Bowey as your second most experience Dman is rather scary but Nemeth is a bottom pair guy.
I'm not sure if Saarijarvi and Kaski will be back at all.
Now Lindstrom got a lot of praise from scouts all over but is struggling in the AHL it's his first taste of North American Pro hockey.
Tuomisto is getting praise like Lindstrom did last season.
So taking on Sejki and his contract for maybe a #2 more likely 2nd pair Dman isn't the right choice. I have nothing against Sejki and he would probably be in Detroit's top pair right now even though he isn't playing up to his contract yet but that will come. So many changes were made to NYR they are still trying to figure out where everyone fits in I guess they call it identity.
That's why I don't think it will happen.
Now as LEDGE_AND_DAIRY said neither team is going to be buying at the TDL.
AA isn't playing any where near last year. So if Gorton offered that for AA the rest of the Rangers front office might send him to Bellevue for the weekend just to make sure.
I really don't think it makes sense for either team.
