You can forget Krug. He loves Boston, they love him. He isn’t going anywhere.

Yea you're high. We could have gotten Ho-Sang for free this year if we wanted him, and no team did. No way would we spend arguably our top center prospect on him. Corey Crawford is already old and washed, if you give that man a 3-year 4 million contract, especially to us, he is just gonna kick back and take his paycheck. I have also heard that Krug really likes Boston, the only leverage we have is that we can offer him more than Boston can, and he would be coming home if he signs here. Still a long shot because Boston is going to do everything they can to try and keep him, and we would probably end up overpaying, and by the time his contract is done it could look bad. And Peitrangelo is resigning with St. Louis probably before the season is even done, so you can forget about that. I would not recommend buying out Nielsen, but with the cap ceiling going up and his contract being basically immovable it might be enviable after this year if some of the young prospects are really pushing, because his offense is just gone. We can just sit Abby in the press box until his contract is done, or waive him like we did with Ericsson in his last year. Also just why is Byfield at $1,000,000, its $925,000 for entry level contracts. Also without all your free agent signing which won't happen, this team is basically the same. Yzerman has already been the most active GM in the league in just the first month alone, imagine how different this team will look by summer. A lot more people besides Helm will be gone, although his return is reasonable, but we will probably have to retain %50.

You just acquired two of the worst contracts in the league... Krug and Pietro is overkill. Spend that money up front or save it to pay for your youngsters

I was discussing this with a Bruins fan weeks ago he had Krug going to Detroit in a trade. If Boston wins the cup this season they let Krug go because they aren't going to give the $8M+ and 5-7 years that other teams will be more happy to pay him. If Boston loses in the cup final or the conference final I think he'd might take a discount and 1 or 2 years because Boston gives him the best chance at a cup. That's just my opinion and if he does leave Boston signing with the Wings isn't guaranteed but he did grow up 20 minutes way from Little Caesars Arena.

Trading Veleno for Ho-Sang would be like trading Larkin because we have Abdelkader.

Krug will sign for 5-6 years at 7-7.5 in Boston.

Ok. I was going to suggest a friendly non monetary wager but you seem to confident about it.

I agree Pietro isn't going to sign in Detroit. If Boston was going to let Krug go Detroit being his home town would be one of the reasons he' sign here. I would also steer clear of Crawford.

I was looking for info on Krug and 3 different and credible sites all have quoted Krug saying he would take less to stay in Boston. Now I really glad I didn't ask about a friendly wager.
