Offers for Stecher

Created by: WhereArtTLuongo
Team: 2019-20 Vancouver Canucks
Initial Creation Date: Nov. 9, 2019
Published: Nov. 9, 2019
Salary Cap Mode: Basic
Description
If Stecher was on the table what would you give up for him. Highly likely the canucks would looking for a combination of a second and a third round pick or a second round pick and a B level prospect. I can even take a player who makes up to $2 million in salary on an expiring deal to make the cap work. Offer away!

The value is great but the cap won't work. Would you be willing to retain 50% on Ceci?

Stecher's contract is a lot cheaper, so yes maybe 25-50%. The problem is he's an RFA next offseason so the leafs would have to figure out a way to sign all their defenseman.

Yeah that's true but even if TOR retains 50% on Ceci, his contract ends at the end of this season so the retained money will also come off the cap. If anything let's say that Stecher resigns for around $3 million the leafs would automatically gain at least $1.5 million in salary in the summer as opposed to now.

I think Dubas should look into making this trade

Stecher to Chicago for Brandon Hagel and a 2020 3rd

Hagel's like a middle six power forward from what I gather. Might look really good on a third line in a year or two
