Personally, I like the NYR/MIN trade. MIN desperately needs to upgrade the goaltending. Also, Eriksson Ek has been a disappointment and the Wild should move on from him. However, I don't think they wanna give up a 1st rounder, even in 2022. It could easily be a top 5 pick during a major rebuild.

Someone will give kreider 6 mill x 7 years. I’m sure he wants to stay in NY, but he’s not leaving that much money on the table

-they also get a pick in that deal
-if Georgiev becomes a great stater in 2 seasons, he could ''even the production''. Dubnyk is already 33

He's not consistent enough to get 6-7 years...

While that’s probably true, July 1st most 20 g players get overpaid on term and AAV

Minnesota has Kahkonen coming up. He will be their goalie to be.

I think Kreider for 6x6 is way too much for a 28 year old Winger who's never scored 30G or 55 points in a season. He does bring some physicality, but he could easily turn into Loui Eriksson 2-3 years in to a new contract. Just way too much of a commitment, in my opinion. JVR got $7M for 5 years, but he's a more prolific scorer. And I didn't love that contract either.

Lol ridiculous. Teams entering rebuilds don't trade future 1st rd picks, especially for merely a decent young goalie

I think Georgiev gets a similar return to what Grubauer got two drafts ago. High second rounder and mid round pick imo. Think a team like EDM would love to add him.
