How Good Is Cole Caufield

Created by: AnalyticsGeek
Team: 2019-20 Montreal Canadiens
Initial Creation Date: Nov. 10, 2019
Published: Nov. 10, 2019
Salary Cap Mode: Basic
Description
Even though he wasn't a top 5 pick in last year's draft, there is still a possibility that Cole Caufield may become one of the greatest goal scorers of all time. His shot accuracy is absolutely wicked. With an elite playmaker, he could probably score 100 goals a season. He's a great one-dimensional player.

Can he surpass Wayne Gretzky's record? To me, that's extremely possible if he stays healthy.

Way too early to tell. He could be a superstar, he could be a complete flop, it's just too early to know

Not a chance. He will certainly be a great goal scorer but i don’t se him scoring more than 900 goal. Thats 50 goal in 18 season. Even ovechkin will have difficulty reaching gretzky record

I like to think I'm never bias but with Caulfield i think its pretty obvious at this point. He'll easily break Wayne Gretzky's goal record. That's both in a season and career. I hate putting numbers on things like this because it always adds that much more pressure but I think he'll score 182 goals in a season and end up with 2278 goals in his career once all is said and done.

I think over the next ten years there's a 99% chance that Cole Caufield will score more NHL goals than Wayne Gretzky will.

Normally I throw a emoji in their just to be clear but I felt i was being outlandish enough that no one would question it. Clearly not outlandish enough. Haha

Cole Caulfield will score 97,825 goals in his career and will be the first NHL player to score 10,000 goals in a season.!!!!!! awesome face

With a good setup man, plenty of power play time, and *does quick math* 120 minutes of ice time per game, he will easily get 182 goals per year.

With his size I would think a debrincat type of performance would be a good start.

To be honest even Lafreniere could be a flop, yet he’s labelled as a generational talent.

Caufield is small, he can move around pretty smooth and fast. He could be very durable.

I’m a Pens fan but Cole Caufield looks to be the real deal. Wished the Pens traded up for him. Imagine him on a line with Geno.

Even if he does not miss significant time due to injury i don’t see that happen. Ovechkin who is a complete beast might come up short. I mean in history of the game the only other players in my mind that would have broke gretzky record was lemieux and bossy. Both have short career due to injury. I am not sure if people realize how hard it is to score 50 goal just one season. He would have to do it 18 times. And right now the habs doesn’t have a centerman who can feed a winger at that rates. Can he score 500 goal maybe 600 it would be amazing 700 he would be a generationnal icone but beyond that mark is not realistic in today hockey

Inhave no doubt that he will score goal in nhl, he know where to go tonget the puck and have a tremendous quick release but i think that 30 goal a season would be more realistic in is case. 15 season of 30 + goal would make him a 500 career goal scorer and in today’s nhl it a amazing accomplishment. Gretzky record couldnhave only be broken by lemieux or bossy if they could have play more healthy but in today’s game it’s already extremely hard to score 50 in a season imagine having 18 consecutive 50 goal season to reach 900 and break the record this is almost impossible.

I said it... never... if the nhl goes to a 150 game format then yes someone may. Other than some massive rule changes no one will touch Gretzky.
