Bruins have lead the league in disallowed goals for 3 years running they should not be surprised by now.

It wasn’t. No whistle, no call on the ice, puck was under his pad behind the goal line from Flyers d man skate pushing Hart’s pad into the goal as Lindholm crashed into d man. By the the time Lindholm used his stick to push it in further it was already in. And you could not see any of that that until you had an overhead view and slowed down.

The call was right. The issue was with the officials and how they handled it. No whistle, no signal, 3 to 4 minutes went by before the officials said anything, nobody in the building or watching knew what has been called til then. It was amateur hour.

Brick is one of the best and respected color men in the business which is why he also does games for NBC Sports when the need a fill in or an extra crew in the playoffs.

Yeah there about 31 places where commentators are homers! It's almost a requirement to get one of those jobs. Games broadcasted nationally like on CBC, NBCSports and NBC they usually aren't as bad. I from Detroit and I remember watching games on Pass Sports and by the end of the game Mickey Redmond was hammered.

I mostly watch hockey game on cbc and the commentators are very neutral. From all the broadcast channel they are the best and they have the best team of specialist who study the game in a very objective way.

Because it’s CBC it’s a national broadcast. No different if it’s one of the major networks or ESPN in the states.

Regional broadcasts are different. Every regional broadcast has biased announcers. They are paid to be that way, they are broadcasting for the home team after all. Just depends to what degree they are. Some are subtle, some are overboard.

Not every regional broadcast. First they are supposed to describe the game and comment the event not gave their personnal feelings. In quebec, there a new channel who comment the habs on saturday and they aren’t friendly with the team since they have hired staff who worked for the nordiques. They are very neutral not like rds who are canadiens lover. Denis potvin was excellent in florida he wasn’t biased at all. There s fez guy in the league like that.

I’ve been watching regional broadcasts in the US since the 80’s and 90s. Long before most people realized they even existed. They are all biased to some extent. Once in awhile you’ll get a pair that are not to bad most nights. Watch them enough and you will see it eventually.

People in my area back then used to complain about how biased NESN announcers were when “nobody else was like that”. But they had never seen a regional broadcast before either and did not understand NESN was nota national broadcast. National broadcasters cannot show bias they can get in trouble for it. Regional s it’s not frowned upon and even encouraged. The target audience after all is fans if the team they are broadcasting for.

Then satellite tv became more prevalent and came with sports packages filled with regional channels. And with more out of town viewers tuning in they started toning down a bit.

Don't mind Brick, but Jack is starting to wear on me. He just ****es and moans way to much and is good for a dozen stupid comments a game.

By saying that the commentators are bad here, you are proving them right. There was no whistle and no call on the ice, even in the replay you can't tell whose stick hit Hart. It should have been a goal by the rulebook (regardless of whether it actually was or not), and the commentators were right to be mad.
