More of an offensive defenceman, kind of a lesser Boqvist. Could see him being a second - third liner in the future.
He's the guy that plays opposite the Boqvists, Merkleys, Bouchards...quite literally all three of those guys actually. He's 6'4" and 207 lbs as a 19 year old kid. I'm hoping you're right that he can bring that kind of offense, but I think he'll likely the 2-way or even defensive dman opposite a puck moving dman. All teams need these guys too. I'm just happy he's been getting top pair minutes for 3 straight years on a quality team. Good pick up by Stan. We need another larger Dman in the defensive prospect pool.
Still think Perlini will make Detroit win the trade but giving Regula an ELC is a good sign he'll at least be an AHL d man
CHI won this trade already. Even if Perlini scores 15-20 goals, he is still such a liability on the D. He is useless on traditional 3rd-4th lines, he is not good on D and he is not a go getter, but put him on first and he will produce once in a while, like any other 3-4th liner. Unless he decides to finally adjust his games, but it seems like he is not willing.

LOL what?!? Where on earth did you get that from?
Regula is know as quite the opposite. Big, physical, smart and defensive oriented but does have offensive ability. Sure he has OK offensive numbers, but that's pretty standard for a drafted player in the OHL.
