Plus minus doesn’t matter I agree. Just added it for another comparison. Most people who understand hockey know it’s a situational stat

It’s not the best stat but it is good... most of the nhls best defensive players have a great turnover ratio. Give me an example where that’s not the case.?

Malkin is the opposite of that case, terrible defensively, good TK:GV ratio, and take basically and DFD, they'll have a bad TK:GV ratio

Malkin is a career -62 turnover ratio? That’s not good? I think you are confused on what’s good or bad. Maybe this is why you think this is a bad for measuring skill defensively

Nah, I just remember arguing with someone a few weeks ago that said Malkin was good defensively bc his TK:GV ratio lmao

I mean he’s not terrible but he’s also not good. So if you told me he’s terrible defensively I’d say you’re being dramatic. But guys like Toews stone and Barkov are knows for being great defensively and all have solid turnover ratios. Like I said it’s not the best way to measure it but to completely ignore it and say it doesn’t correlate is simple not true. I’m still waiting for an example to support your initial claim. I’m assuming it doesn’t exist so good talk.

I like this list and honestly your Brave to put Eichel that high but your right he is better than the others. My one thing is Matthews might be #5 on this list.

I think that some players take longer to develop, like Eichel the player he has been in 2019-20 is better than the three below him on the list.
