You might be able to get more from Detroit in exchange for Koekkoek. Yzerman seems to have a thing for under performing 1st round picks.

speaking of first round picks, how has perlini been so far? I know he has no points but is he at least noticeable out there?

He looks good plays hard at both ends but Detroit isn't good so it hard to judge. I think now that Detroit has Perlini Yzerman might feel more comfortable trading Helm or Glendening. I see Regula signed. I've seen him play a few times in AAA and in Highschool and I like him. He's big, smart and good hands.
