Honestly that's a pretty good trade, although I don't think they should move Bokk... Maybe some other prospect though.

Not sure it makes sense for a team that considers itself a contender (whatever anyone's opinion is, TO thinks they can go deep in the playoffs) to make a trade where they give up the best current asset for a backup and futures. Seems counter to the whole trying to win idea.

Yeah at the circumstances at hand I guess you have a point. But then again the amount of value you'd get in this trade for Kappy is extremely high... Rarely a mid-6 winger brings you a 1st, good prospect and a serviceable goalie...

If kaskisuo can keep a .900 we would get bokk (not convinced he will become an nhler) and a first and take back a cap dump. Not to mention what this does to our PK, luckily Hyman is returning.

Think there are other options if kaskisuo doesn’t work out that will return a backup without a 3m price tag.

I was thinking Reimer with 1.7 retained, TVR, and a 3rd for Kap and Holl. But that was before Marner injury.

To be honest Holl has looked great this year. I know that sounds funny but he is really coming along. The trade you propose does make more sense.

The trade is not bad at all, The thing is Carolina is trying to get rid of Dmen to clear up space.
