No he absolutely deserved to be fired. Should have happened years ago. You can't say what he said, its wrong and we all know it. The people supporting him right now are two people, those who blindingly think that firing Cherry is an insult to Veterans and those who also don't like immigrants. In both cases the people supporting Cherry are wrong.

He never said immigrants. People put words in his mouth... There is absolutely nothing wrong with what he said and many agree with that.

He mentioned downtown Toronto and the GTA saying "you people who come here and love our way of life." Those smaller towns in Canada you don't see these people but they come here from wherever, love our way of life and our milk and honey. Yeah the guy with a long history of xenophobia didn't mean immigrants. Come on, don't be a fool. He damn well meant immigrants. Now I will say, he has said far worse stuff in the past but this was 100% directed at immigrants. You can take it how you want but I am sure you know what he meant. So either you are also racist or you think that anyone not wearing a poppy disrespects the troops which is silly. I simply kept forgetting to get a poppy this year. Doesn't mean I disrespect veterans, I just didn't get a poppy. Big fricken deal.
