I think they say no, simply because they aren't sure if they'll be in the running for a playoff spot. The top 5 teams in the Metro are considerably better than Columbus IMO

That we are going to pass. Take out our top pick from last season and have an extension in place for Markstrom and maybe. I’d rather see a Korpisalo and Anderson for Demko and a Pearson, Sutter or Beartchi trade.

DiPietro is the goalie of the future for Vancover so you might as well ride Markstrom now that he’s living up to potential and move Demko for a solid top 6 player you need. Then use Korpisalo as the backup until DiPietro is ready.

Demko is more of the goalie of the future than DiPietro. I can't see DiPietro ever being more than a fringe starter at his size.

Not a chance that DePietro is the goalie of the future, Demko took that away. At best he is a good back-up in Van who could take 30 games a year. I would trade Markstom at the TDL for a quality backup and a draft pic. Maybe a 2nd or 3rd.
