Risto

Initial Creation Date: Nov. 13, 2019

Salary Cap Mode: Basic
Description
We would likely never get risto unless buff is gone but here it is. Roslovic is the future 2c so he isn’t going anywhere. Vesalainen is much needed by next year especially if wheeler is declining so he isn’t going either. Copp could be moved instead of perreault too. Perreault is expendable now and would fit into any middle six well while bringing more skill than copp imo. He is much better than advertised and could play all over the lineup. Sabres have a need at LD and Stanley could step in now and provide that. Finally a few picks to balance it out. I wouldn’t trade anything else for ristolainen

Lineup is right before playoffs.

And no ristolainen is not a top pairing d-man. I just put him there because Morrissey needs some muscle with him who is also skilled. No knock on poolman who has been steadily improving but jomo needs more. This also explains why this doesn’t happen if buff is back. Buff is mroe than enough muscle and is mroe skilled than risto. I have a feeling buff will be back after he recovers and therefore this will not happen. But if buff retires, risto is one of many options (one of which could come for free in free agency in hamonic). My favourite is hamonic then Murphy from Chicago. But ristolainen would do

No thanks, Buffalo has no need for LHD, we have too many of them.

I swear over the summer buf fans were screaming about the LD. But whatever. Could be replaced by spacek or really almost any other forward prospect. How’s value though?

Sabres need a top 6 forward and you guys have plenty of them... Perreault is not one of them

Well, see for yourself, we have Dahlin, McCabe, Scandella, Gilmour and Pilut, plus 3-4 more prospects in the organization, two of them seem solid. I just don’t see Buffalo and Winnipeg as good trading partners at the moment, since it’s obvious that we don’t see conditional Ehlers for Risto and this is rightly, Roslovic could be the main part of the return, but this season he is apparently good for you and he is not trading, Perreault could be useful to us, of course, but he doesn’t cost much, and the picks and the middle prospects do nothing for us, we need help ahead here and now. 2C or RW in top 6.

Again just the more reason why risto won’t be coming to the peg

Thanks for the insight though

Really we don’t. Little isn’t the 2c the jets need and roslovic is. we have 7 top 6 guys and the 7th is little. Unless you want him I suggest you look elsewhere

Sabres dont need a LD at all, their still trying to move players out to get Pilut up. Perrault would be competing with Sheary and Vesey for a spot, Sabres dont need any of that.
